We are proud of our library which is named for Margaret Mahy, NZ’s celebrated children’s author and a Governors Bay local. A regular buying programme ensures the library is well stocked.

Our children enjoy using the library, visiting regularly to choose a new book to read and share at home. We appreciate the help from parents in ensuring their children have their books at school on library day.

Librarians are chosen from Kereru class (years 6 - 8) and are rostered to each class to assist with the issuing and returns of books. They are also responsible for a section of the library, organise book displays, and showcase new library books at assembly.

The library is also used as a teaching space, for school assemblies, for the junior school production, and for the middle/senior school performing arts focus.
