At the end of Term 3 Tui class worked on Measurement in Maths. We started with our adopted All Black's and found out how heavy and tall they were compared to us.  We also used unconventional units of measurement like our hands, feet and pencils to compare how long things were before we looked at centimetres and metres. In weight we had a go at comparing how heavy things were in the balance and then how many cube things weighed.

Our last topic for Term 3 was Material Science. We were looking at how materials could be grouped into solids, liquids and gases. Then we did lots of practical experiments to see if we could change materials from one thing to another and if the changes were reversible or irreversible.

As part of this unit we made butter and bread. We enjoyed tasting them at the end of the day.

Our Art Topic this term has been looking at artworks of some famous artist. We tried to create art works similar to those of Kandinski and Matisse.we learnt Kandinski like to use colours that stood out from each other and made us feel happy. We learnt Matisse started to draw with scissors when he got too sick to stand and paint.
